About Us

With 35 years gardening experience, Alison completed a course in NQ Botanic Gardening at Dundee College in June 2011, achieving a commendation in The Royal Horticultural Society's Level II Certificate in The Principles of Horticulture.

Alison designed the Dundee College entry for Scotland's premier gardening show Gardening Scotland 2011.  The "Dooc't Garden" was built by a team of students, lecturers and college gardeners for the 3 day event at Edinburgh's Ingliston showground in early June.  The garden was awarded a Silver-Gilt Medal Certificate.

The photograph shows Alison with Dundee College Horticulture Curriculum Manager, Gordon Croll (on the left), and Lecturer Ally Bruce at the stand of the completed show garden.

Alison re-designed the Dooc't Garden for the college entry to Dundee Flower and Food Festival in September 2011.  The garden was awarded a Gold Medal Certificate.

Alison's own entry to the Dundee Flower and Food Festival, a design called 'Stepping Stones', was her first solo show garden and won a Silver-Gilt Medal Certificate.

Alison's expertise and passion for gardening was recognised when she won the Alastair Christie Rosebowl awarded by Dundee College for Horticultural Excellence 2011.
